How to multiply Sabah Snake Grass

Snake grass is under vine category, which refers to a climbing or trailing plant. It required a proper support to grow up. It doesn't have seed. So in order to multiply is to use its stems by using cutting technic. Cutting, also referred to as cloning or striking, involves removing a small piece of Snake grass parent plant and then allowing the cutting to take root and grow as a new, separate plant. Multiplying Snake grass plant simply and easily with stem cuttings. It's not only economical - it's fun. So happy gardening!

Things you will need:

1. Snake grass stem
2. Soil
3. Plant cutter 
4. Water container
5. Plastic bag / Vase

Instructions
1. Choose a fresh-looking Snake grass stem. Using plant cutter, cutting diagonally with sharp pruners, just below the leafs. Remove leaves from the bottom half of the cutting.

** Tips: When choosing the steam, make sure you choose the young one, not the matured branch!. It won't grow root, and will die eventually.

2. Put the newly cut stem in a container  with water. Keep the container in a shady area for a few weeks, until roots begin to grow.

3. After that, transfer it to a pot with soil. Alternatively, you can use a plastic bag if you don't have a pot.

4. When it grow bigger, transfer it to ground. Plant some sticks beside the plant. It is to support Snake grass when growing up.

5. Water the plant every morning to ensure it grow well! Happy planting!
